The 11th Round of India–Australia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (Ind–Aus CECA) negotiations was held in New Delhi from 18–23 August 2025, marking another step forward in strengthening bilateral trade and economic ties between the two nations.
Building on the progress made during previous rounds and intersessional meetings, the latest discussions covered a wide range of key areas, including Goods, Services and Mobility, Digital Trade, Rules of Origin, Legal and Institutional Provisions, Environment, Labour, and Gender. The talks helped both sides move closer toward convergence on the remaining provisions of the agreement.
Both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to advancing the CECA and ensuring that it delivers mutually beneficial outcomes, greater economic opportunities, and a balanced framework for both partners. To sustain the momentum, negotiations will continue through virtual intersessional discussions in the coming months.
Looking ahead, India and Australia expressed their shared ambition to finalize a future-ready, comprehensive, and mutually beneficial trade agreement at the earliest. As India continues to deepen its engagement through multiple trade partnerships, this round underscores its steadfast commitment to enhancing global economic cooperation while aligning with national priorities and long-term growth objectives.
